Cancellation & refunds

Cancellation requests must be sent in writing (email or WhatsApp) to BookingLoop and must include the booking reference. The refund depends on the rate plan chosen at checkout.

Non-Refundable Rate

Bookings made on the Non-Refundable Rate are not refunded if you cancel, change your dates, shorten your stay or do not arrive. The cancellation schedule below does not apply to this rate. This applies subject to any rights or remedies under applicable South African law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Refundable Rate

The Refundable Rate costs 10% more than the base Non-Refundable Rate. The additional 10% is a disclosed refundable-rate premium: it is part of the price of choosing the more flexible rate, not a fee introduced after you cancel. For example, on a base accommodation rate of R450 the refundable-rate premium is R45 and the total is R495. The exact premium is calculated on the applicable base rate for your room and dates. Refunds are calculated on the base accommodation amount only, and the 10% premium is retained when a refund is processed, subject to applicable law.

  • 7 or more days before arrival: 100% of the base accommodation amount is refunded, with no administration deduction. The 10% premium is retained. On the example above, R450 is refunded and R45 is retained.
  • 3 to 6 days before arrival: 50% of the base accommodation amount is refunded. The 10% premium is retained.
  • 1 to 2 days before arrival: Single-night bookings receive no accommodation refund. For 2 or more nights, the first night's base charge is retained and the base amount for the remaining nights is refunded. The 10% premium is retained.
  • Same-day cancellations: No accommodation refund.
  • Day-of-arrival cancellations: No accommodation refund.
  • No-show bookings: No accommodation refund.
  • Cancelled booking extensions: No accommodation refund.

Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days, to the original payment method where available. Nothing on this page limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law.
